Our best-known work has been in the area of quantitative chemical analysis by x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). Our principal off-the-shelf software package is XRF11, which accounts for matrix absorption and indirect fluorescence in XRF analysis by using fundamental parameters of the elements in a detailed model of the experimental arrangement. The simulation is adjusted automatically to conform to whatever standard reference materials are available, whether a full suite of standards or just a single multi-component standard. Our XRF software for elemental analysis has been used in hundreds of labs in over thirty countries.
