compiled by Robert Burns Neveldine A Philip Glassography Numerals A to H I to P Q to Z How This Site Works The Philip Glassography lists all commercially available items in their most durable formats, whether or not they are in print. For example, if an album has appeared on CD (but also appeared in other formats, such as vinyl and cassette), only the CD will be shown. Likewise, if an album came out only on vinyl, you will see the LP. Additionally, I have tried to list the most "complete" issue of each itema Japanese pressing that includes extra tracks, say, will be listed instead of its domestic (American) counterpart. In other words, the Glassography does not attempt to be comprehensive in the sense of indicating each item in every format in which it has ever appeared. It is meant for the enthusiast who wants to find the most up-to-date issue of each work. (For more complete information about individual releases, follow the links to external sites, below). What is not included: ephemeral recordings, unrecorded or undocumented performances (e.g., theater music), television broadcasts, local interviews, bootlegs, compilation tracks otherwise available, and promo copies whose tracks don't differ from those on the albums they are promoting. The listings include each work's title; Glass's credits; general title (if applicable); other credits (if applicable); label, publisher, or studio (if known); catalogue number (if known); year date of release (if known); and notes. The information indicates original composer/group/arranger other than Glass, as well as collaborator, compilation album title, additional composers, and/or Glass's role in the work. Albums for which Glass has been executive producer are omitted. Books and other writings are included, but published scores are omittedthe Glassography is meant for listeners and collectors more than for performers. | |
