Activity #1
  • Audience: Families or children ages 7-12 Goal: To provide students with a working knowledge of the Roycroft Movement and the notion of creating quality objects for use in daily life. Objectives: Students will create art work in the traditional Roycroft style Students will role play and will pretend to be one of the Roycroft artisans of the Arts and Crafts movement. Students will write a paragraph or two discussing the Arts and Crafts movement. Materials: Thick 9"x12" sheets of cardboard; scrap cardboard, tape, aluminum foil, scissors or exacto knives, black, silver, gray or gold tempera paint, paint brushes, paper towels, glue, paper and pencils to sketch designs.
