SPECIFIC MASS FOR POWER LIFTER PROGRAM (9 weeks) The Specific Mass for Power lifters (SMFP) program is designed both for power lifters and off season body builders that are training to add extra body weight in the form of muscle mass, in order to compete in a heavier body weight class, while also emphasizing the production of power. Weight training athletes other than power lifters and body builders may order this program, however, as already stated; this programs main emphasis is on the production of muscle mass gains to enhance your gains in power. The Specific Mass for Power Lifters program is an advanced weight training program that is recommended for the weight training athlete that has either completed any 2 of our beginner or intermediate programs, or that has been weight training consistently for at least two years. The Specific Mass for Power Lifters program is distinctly different from all of the other training programs offered by Questformuscle.com, because it is power lifting oriented. In that this program is power lifting oriented, the training is more regimented and controlled, so as to allow your body to peak at the proper point in your training cycle. How does the Specific Mass for Power Lifters program do this?

63. Power Lifting
An article on power lifting, a weight lifting sport that since the late sixtieshas swept the world to become the number two weight lifting sport.
http://allsands.com/Sports/powerlifting_tzr_gn.htm
Power lifting
Power lifting is a sport that combines the strength of weight lifting with the concentration of a Zen master. Power lifting is a hybrid sport. It was created in the middle 1960’s by people who were tired of weight lifting and Olympic lifting. Power lifting consists of only three exercises, the bench press, the dead lift, and the squat. Since the sport's inception it has steadily increased its presence in the worldwide arena. It is popular for a few reasons. The first is that it is a lot easier to learn than Olympic lifting, which can take years to perfect. When you train for power lifting it is usually for a specific event, such as a meet. Power lifting is really more of a discipline than other lifting sports because it combines speed, strength and sheer concentration of will. Speaking from personal experience, people underestimate how strong they really are. Power lifting helps to focus your mind and allow you to tap into your deeper subconscious. bodyOffer(2263) When squatting, bench pressing, or dead lifting a maximum weight in a competition in the gym or a meet, the slightest mistake could mean the difference between making the lift or possible injury or sometimes death. Power lifting has a few key benefits to everyone, not just people looking to get strong. The first is that it gives you a priority. Almost all power lifters compete in meets at one time or another. When you train in this way there is more of a sense of urgency to perform at your peak then if you have no goals whatsoever. The Zen part of power lifting is very simple to explain. Power lifting combines deep breathing such extreme concentration and force of will.

The Meeting Nov 12, 2002 at 9 am
The meeting started out with cordial greetings with hand shakes and so on and I addressed the issue of concerns about what had transpired in the last week with Mr Lumpkin and Mr Wilcox. I said that I had heard of the three youths overhearing Coach Wilcox's remarks to Coach Smith about Jesse got what he deserved for losing his temper like he did. He was referring to Jesse having a violent seizure last week and had to be rushed to the hospital. This information was disturbing to me and I wanted to find out for myself what was going on. He denied the statement and offered to get Coach Smith into the office to confirm this had been a false statement. I said that's not necessary and then said that I was also told you had gotten angry with Jesse about him calling your son a shithead and he confirmed this as being true (In coach's hand written transcript of events leading up to Jesse's expulsion from the power lifting squad he used the term shitface) and then I went on to ask about his statement that he's not letting Jesse power lift this year. He again confirmed this and I immediately said. Why? Coach Wilcox only offered one reason initially and that was because Jesse had taken supplements because of some agreement (Quote from transcript: I told her that if I actually caught Jesse using any type of supplement, I would not allow him to participate in powerlifting.) with Glenda (Jesse's Mother)

RAF 2000 Power Lifting Championships
By SAC Kirk Stalley Articles What's Going On? The ACTIVE Team The RAF Powerlifting Championships took place in July at RAF Cosford. Competitors were able to compete in each of the 3 disciplines: the Squat, the Bench Press and the Deadlift. As well as prizes for the individual disciplines, an overall winner was decided by summing of individual's lifts to get a total weight lifted. The Army also competed and challenged the best RAF powerlifters. In the Squat - the only discipline that he entered - novice Andrew Martin, from Cosford, managed a respectable 75kg at a bodyweight of 75kg. The best squat went to SAC Kirk Stalley from RAF Aldergrove with an excellent 242.5kg lift, which broke the RAF squat record by 7.5kg. The Bench Press competition was heavily contested, and the victor couldn't be predicted. Dave Holmes from Cosford, another novice, with a bodyweight of 82.5kg pressed a creditable 90kg but narrowly failed 2 attempts at 100kg. Then up stepped the big boys, the Army lifter Duncan Tanner benched152.5kg but all the competitors were outshone by Aldergrove duo Cpl Mark Beanland (lifting in the 100kg class) and SAC Kirk Stalley (lifting in the 110kg class). Both competitors lifted170kg, a 10kg improvement on the RAF record at Kirk's weight. Mark was unable to match the current record for his weight of 180kg, which was set by a very formidable lifter, Sgt Matt Saunders, from Coltishall, who is current RAF and World Champion. The final lift was the Deadlift, a very hard lift that requires "raw power". Andy Martin, a seasoned lifter, powered up with 200kg, whilst Duncan lifted a solid 230kg. Then came Steve Moore from Saxavord, who lifted 255kg. Kirk attempted 257.5kg and failed his first attempt but ended with a lift of 262.5kg, not enough for the record, but once again Mark and Kirk had battled it out for top spot, with Mark winning with a tremendous lift of 265kg.
