NHHEAF Network announces new board members

(Concord, N.H.) The NHHEAF Network recently appointed three higher education professionals to its boards of trustees.
Howard was previously associate director of financial aid at Dartmouth College in Hanover from 1993 to 2000 before joining Antioch New England in 2000. She is a past president of the New Hampshire Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and served on the Student Aid Advisory Committee of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation from 1992 to 1998. Howard has also held leadership positions in the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Blodgett has more than 19 years of experience in higher education, encompassing all facets of the financial aid process. As director of the newly created Student Financial Services Department at Keene State College, she oversees the awarding and allocation of more than $20 million annually in federal, state and institutional funds. Blodgett is a former treasurer of the New Hampshire Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and a past member of the NHHEAF Board of Trustees. Appointed to his present position in 2001, O'Donnell most recently served as president and interim president of New Hampshire Community Technical College/Manchester-Stratham, including the Technology Center at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth and the Derry Satellite Campus. Originally trained as a clinical psychologist, his career in community colleges has focused on the growth of colleges and their roles in student success and community and economic development.

At that time, the population was approximately 2,100. Over the past 95 years, the Town of Salem has grown and changed into a small metropolis known for its large commercial and retail industry as well as its growing residential population. As of the 2000 census, Salem hosted a population of 28,000 with a daytime population estimate of over 80,000. As the Town has changed, the Fire Department has changed with it. Now in the 21 st Century, the Salem Fire Department employs 67 men and women dedicated to protecting the Town 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Department no longer provides only fire suppression services, but we now also respond to medical aids, hazardous materials incidents, specialized technical rescue situations, fire prevention/inspection requests and disaster incidents.
