Ask your herbalist or homeopath about its properties. If they don't know, look for herbalists/homeopaths trained in Eastern Europe. If they don't know, ask me. In short, it is an almost miraculous natural antimicrobial substance, which makes a wonderful ointment for external application to cuts and scrapes. I am sure that I would be in contravention of some very serious law if I suggested anything but external use, so talk to your homeopath). Observation on the Treatment Effect of Agaricus Blazei Murrill to the Liver Function of Chronic Hepatitis Patients
Originating from the mountain region of Piedade, Brazil, Royal Agaricus (Agaricus blazei Murill) has become quite popular there and in Asia as a panacea and also for its use in cancer. Interest was peaked when a much lower occurrence of adult diseases was found in this region. Research done in Japan in 1980's and 1990's appears to support these benefits. Studies demonstrate possible use in recovery from cancer as well as in prevention of the imbalance, while also shown promise for this mushroom's ability of lower blood glucose, serum cholesterol, and blood pressure, as well as that of strong immune enhancement. In Brazil, Agaricus is called "Cogmelo de Deus," Mushroom of God. After 3-month of treatment using Agaricus Blazei, the liver function was obviously improved, and there was a remarkable change in values including ALT, AST, bilirubin. It is obvious that Agaricus Blazei has a positive therapeutic effect. Agaricus Blazei influences all correlative perspectives of the liver function of chronic hepatitis, lowering GOT, GPT, and g-GTP. Serum connective cholic acid, serum ferritin, g-globulin, coagulation time after the treatment showed remarkable lowering. It is conceived that Agaricus Blazei has various therapeutic effects to hepatitis and presents a comprehensive control in the positive direction.

Supporting Research Overview Both American and Asian ginsengs belong to the species Panax and are similar in their chemical composition. Siberian ginseng ( Eleutherococcus senticosus ), on the other hand, although part of the same plant family called Araliaceae , is an entirely different plant and does not contain ginsenosides, the active ingredients found in both Asian and American ginseng. All three ginsengs (Asian, American, and Siberian) are regarded as adaptogens, substances that strengthen and normalize body functions, helping the body deal with various forms of stress. Ginseng may shorten the time that it takes to bounce back from illness or surgery, especially for elderly people. Research on Asian and American ginsengs has included the following: ADHD
An early study suggests that American ginseng, in combination with ginkgo, may prove to be of value in helping to treat ADHD. More research in this area is needed. Alcohol Intoxication
Asian ginseng could be helpful in treating alcohol intoxication. The herb may accomplish this by speeding up the metabolism (break down) of alcohol and, thus, allowing it to clear more quickly from the body. Or, as animal research suggests, ginseng may reduce the absorption of alcohol from the stomach.

Table of Contents Herbs American Ginseng Botanical Name: Panax quinquefolium Overview Plant Description What's It Made Of? Available Forms ... Supporting Research Overview Ginseng is widely used to strengthen the immune system, and increase strength and vigor. Both American and Asian ginsengs belong to the species Panax and are similar in their chemical composition. Siberian ginseng ( Eleutherococcus senticosus ), on the other hand, although part of the same plant family called Araliaceae , is an entirely different plant and does not contain ginsenosides, the active ingredients found in both Asian and American ginseng. (Note: Asian ginseng is also known as Red Korean ginseng.) One similarity that American, Asian, and Siberian ginsengs all share is that each of these herbs is considered to be an adaptogen, a substance that strengthens the body, helping it return to normal when it has been subjected to stress. Therefore, they are considered to be valuable supports for those recovering from illness or surgery, especially the elderly. The root of American ginseng is light tan and gnarled. Its resemblance to the human body may have led herbalists to the folkloric belief that ginseng could cure all ills. In fact panax means all illness and ginseng has been used across the ages in many different cultures as a "cure-all".

Influence of high intensity beef cattle stocking in herbaceous Mediterranean vegetation. M. Gutman, A. Perevolotzki and E.D.Ungar Agricultural Research Organization, (ARO), Department of Agronomy and Natural. Resources. The determination of the most beneficial utilization rate of pastures in Israel, or in other words the maximum plant biomass that can be gathered by the grazing animals while preserving the long range pastoral grazing potential, is a contentious task.
The two main directions in pastoral grazing strategies, along with their accompanying disadvantages are presented below:
Accordingly, the contribution of the dry pasture (from June to December ) to the production cycle is low and can be replaced with cheap supplementary feeds i.e. poultry litter, wheat straw and gin trash. It is preferential to consume the majority of the pasture when green and to supplement feeding in summer and autumn with cheap supplementary feeds.
The second difference involves the long term management of the pastures with regards to conserving the production level of the pasture.
Excessive intensive utilization of the herbaceous pasture during the growing period can be harmful to the pasture for the following reasons:
    1) Increase in soil exposure resulting in soil erosion and removal of nutrients.

Abstract: This is the first publication dedicated to the diversity of smut fungi in Panama based on field work, the study of herbarium specimens, and references taken from literature. It includes smuts parasitizing cultivated and wild plants. The latter are mostly found in rural vegetation. Among the 24 species cited here, 14 species are recorded for the first time for Panama. One of them, Sporisorium ovarium, is observed for the first time in Central America. Entyloma spilanthis is found on the host species Acmella papposa var. macrophylla (Asteraceae) for the first time. Entyloma costaricense and Entyloma ecuadorense are considered synonyms of Entyloma compositarum and Entyloma spilanthis respectively. "Sphacelotheca" panamensis is a very doubtful species. Descriptions of the species are complemented by some illustrations, a checklist, and a key.
Key words: Checklist, neotropics, Panama, smut fungi, Tilletiales, Ustilaginales.

There are both native and introduced phases of western yarrow in North America. Introduced and native phases differ primarily in chromosome number and are difficult to distinguish morphologically [ ]. Native and introduced phases hybridize. The intricate pattern of morphologic, geographic, and ecologic variation within the species has frustrated all efforts to organize an intraspecific taxonomy on a circumboreal or even a strictly North American basis [ ]. Most authorities do not recognize infrataxa [ ]; however, Kartesz [ ] recognizes the following varieties: A. millefolium var. alpicola (Rydb.) Garrolt - common yarrow A. millefolium
