THE DRAMA STARTS HERE by Matt Kalkhoff
This article first appeared in the March 2000 issue of Miamigo Grammy Award Winner
Peter Rauhofer "Let me tell you something, honey, if you want drama, you came to the right place, because I'll give it to you." Never have song lyrics more succinctly summed up club life. In this case, they also offer a candid glimpse into the fascinating world of the inexhaustibly creative, if not sex-obsessed, man who wrote them. I was thumbing through the dictionary trying to find words to describe him, but let me give you some hints instead: His career is a phenomenon - with a beginning, a middle, and no end. He likes credit cards, but not just any old credit cards, I mean, gold. He is unique, he looks good, and some would even say, he is a little twisted. His orgasms are allegedly magical, and he has an intense infatuation with underwear. He is also one of the most talented and sought-after DJs, remix artists, and producers on the scene today. You better roll out the red carpet for the ubiquitous Peter Rauhofer, because here he comes. Rauhofer eventually started producing his own distinct brand of sexy and provocative underground house music. In 1993 he achieved his breakthrough in the U.S. with the success of "Let Me Be Your Underwear," a song which was released under the pseudonym Club 69. Club 69's debut album, "Adults Only" followed in 1995. Peter's popularity in the U.S. skyrocketed with club hits like "Diva," "Love Is The Message," and "Unique." Having fallen in love with America, Peter began splitting his time between the U.S. and Austria, all the while forging his presence as a global force in the world of dance music.

'More drama clubs needed for child actors' Updated 11 January 2002, 10.12
Rebecca from London has noticed more children wanting to act thanks to Daniel Radcliffe and friends. But she says more should be done to help them. "Many young people have been inspired to start acting after seeing films and television programmes like Harry Potter and Malcolm in the Middle. They all know how to join local theatre groups but where are they supposed to go from there?
I think that it can be quite scary if you don't know what you are doing. If they search the net, all that comes up is American theatre sites, that cost thousands of dollars and aren't very much use to those young hopefuls who live in the UK. Answering appeals like on Newsround is definitely a push in the right direction, but are there enough of these? I think there should be more opportunities for these people. In schools there are very few drama clubs and sometimes child actors and actresses don't get taken seriously. More theatre groups I would like to see some change and hopefully people will begin to open up more theatre groups and more auditions to make it easier for actors just starting out.
