After School Activities EASS provides an exciting range of group activities for children learning musical instruments and for those children wishing to sing in a choir or to take part in music or drama clubs. Each activity caters for children at a particular level of ability or is suitable for a particular age group. Regular term time rehearsals lead to performance opportunities covering a broad and interesting repertoire. All activities take place at the EASS Centre at Aylward School, Windmill Road, Edmonton, N18, unless otherwise stated. Click on one of the buttons to see a summary of the activity. Why Join a Group? (top) Being a member of a group can create a real sense of achievement for children, and can develop confidence and self-esteem. Joining a group can be both educational and fun! Music ensembles offer pupils opportunities to develop their musical skills, extend their musical knowledge and broaden their repertoire. Playing in an ensemble gives meaning to the whole experience of learning a musical instrument. What Activities are Available?

The focus of the training at the Guildhall School is on the preparation of professional performers. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the many performance opportunities that exist both formally and informally within the School and outside.
In the School
For concerts, the School has a Music Hall (capacity 200), a smaller Lecture Recital Room and a performance space in the basement of its nearby Hall of Residence, Sundial Court. The termly Opera production takes place in the Theatre (capacity 300). Drama productions use both the Theatre and the Studio Theatre (65 seats) and final-year actors work as an ensemble in these two spaces in a varied repertoire of plays. Both theatres offer particularly fine technical facilities. In addition to the termly Opera and Drama productions, there is a full programme of student concerts and recitals within the School. These events, which regularly number between 80 and 100 every term, are generally open to the public. Please click here to view the events diary. This covers GSMD events from September 1998 and will give you an idea of the scope and depth of the activities undertaken by Guildhall students. Additionally, you will be able to see forthcoming events.

Campbell College requires every student to participate in some physical activity unless there are compelling medical reasons for him not to do so. We seek the full development of our students’ intellectual and physical potential. Every boy is introduced to the skills necessary for success in team games. We encourage each to join a team, sharing the rich experiences offered by being a member of a purposeful community in both inter-school and inter-House competitions. We seek also to identify and encourage exceptional individual talent and offer coaching and opportunities in a wide variety of other sports. Our extra-curricular programme recognises the value of outdoor pursuits in which the individual is required both to draw upon his own resources and to take responsibility for others in his group. Central to our philosophy is that participation in physical activity - whether as a member of a team or as an individual - is necessary to the well-being of the developed and mature adult, as much as to the growing boy. We pride ourselves on offering opportunities and encouragement to each of our students which will help them to lead healthy, full and integrated lives.

Welcome to our Clubs page. At Dallington C. of E. School we believe that children have many different talents and we offer many opportunities to develop these in extra curricular activities. We have active after school and lunch time clubs for games, I.C.T., drama and music. Peripatetic music teachers offer weekly tuition in guitar, keyboards and violin. Everything is done to enable children to participate in organised activities outside the curriculum of the school. Each year our Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to take the cycling proficiency test following a course at the school. The children attend music and recorder festivals, football and netball tournaments and matches with other schools, athletics and cross-country events, cricket, stoolball and rounders, tournaments and country-dance festivals. We take the children on school visits and outings throughout the year and Class 1 enjoy a residential visit during the summer term. We hoe you enjoy looking at our 'Clubs' pages. Top of page Dallington ICT productions. We have the technology. Designed by Mr. Palframan and Mrs. Brothwood.

Choir
Choir takes place every Monday lunchtime from 12:30 to 1:00 pm. This club is organised by Mrs. Knight and is for Year 4, 5 and 6.
The children at the moment are preparing for a number of exciting events for the Autumn Term.
They will be singing to the patients at St. Michael's Hospice in December.
They will be singing at Oatlands Christmas Celebration on Tuesday 17th December at St. Mark's Church.
Finally, they will be taking part in a Family Christmas Concert organised by the Harrogate Symphony Orchestra and Harrogate Choral Society at the Conference Centre in Harrogate on Saturday 14th December. The event commences at 7pm and is not to be missed!
Orchestra Orchestra takes place on Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4:20. It mainly consists of Year 5 and 6 children. Mr. Pool accepts new members when they are recommended by their instrument tutor.
Alasdair and Kathryn
Every Tuesday at 3.15pm we go to orchestra, we finish at 4.25pm.There are a wide range of instruments, from euphoniums to oboes. In our last competition we played EastEnders, Morning Hymn and The Peasant Cantata, we got a distinction but we didn't win. We have many people in orchestra, but sadly most of them will be leaving this year, because a lot of the people in the orchestra are from Year 6. Hopefully a lot of people will join us this following school year. If you listen to one of Oatlands Junior School's orchestra concerts we hope you enjoy it!
