Assassination Research, Inc., a non-profit corporation, has been created to promote scholarly publications, support symposia, and initiate litigation (when appropriate) to advance the cause of educating the American people about the death of JFK. Our present legal strategy is to bring complaints against the applicable Commissioners of Education/Boards of Education in all 50 states, if necessary, plus the District of Columbia, if required, for purchasing and distributing false information about the death of our 35th President by means of history textbooks purchased by American taxpayers. There is abundant objective and scientific evidenceincluding fabrication of the autopsy X-rays, the alteration of autopsy photographs, substitution of another brain for that of JFK, and the editing of the Zapruder filmto establish the existence of a conspiracy and cover-up in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It has become increasingly clear to serious students of the case that Lee Oswald was framed as the "lone assassin" with manufactured evidence. Our history books do not reflect the true history of our country.

SHPPS assessed the school health education component at the state, district, school, and classroom levels. Questionnaires were mailed to the state education agency in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and to a nationally representative sample of 502 school districts. In addition, personal interviews were conducted with personnel from a nationally representative sample of 766 public and private middle/junior and senior high schools and with 1643 randomly selected health education teachers in those schools. Personnel from all 51 state education agencies and 406 (81%) of the 502 sampled districts completed the state and district questionnaires, respectively. Personnel from 607 (79%) of the 766 sampled schools completed the school-level interview and 1040 (63%) of the 1643 sampled classroom teachers completed the teacher interview. Teachers were asked about the primary focus of the courses in which they taught health education. Of the 1027 teachers who responded to this question, nearly half (46.9%) taught courses that focused primarily on health education topics; in this analysis, these teachers are referred to as health education teachers in health education classes. The other teachers (53.1%) taught courses that included some health education content but focused primarily on another subject (e.g., biology); these teachers are referred to as health education teachers in other subjects. Data from school districts, schools, and classroom teachers were weighted to provide national estimates. SUDAAN was used to compute 95% confidence intervals (CIs).

PLATFORM FOR QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
We need our elected officials to contribute to the leadership of a cooperative initiative to improve public education; so that District residents have a public school system to count on, believe in and of which we can be proud On July 11, 1998 a coalition of District parents, local school educators and community activists (listed on the back) [below] came together to articulate a platform on public education The platform expressed below represents an effort to build on the experiences and background of participants to identify education priorities and the areas where strong consensus exists. We ask that the aspiring District of Columbia candidates speak to the issues raised in this platform during the 1998 elections.
Education Program
  • Establish a high quality school system that offers multiple programs and options (and supports them) such that all students can graduate prepared for gainful employment, post secondary education and training or both. Staff all schools to provide a full spectrum of disciplines including art, music, second and native language, technology, physical education, as well as core subjects of mathematics, reading, language arts, science, and social studies; and provide counselors and librarians to support these offerings.
