Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 4-6:
    Lost In La Mancha

Perhaps the first "un-making of" documentary. In a genre that exists to hype films before their release, Lost In La Mancha presents an unexpected twist: it is the story of a film that does not exist. Instead of a sanitised glimpse behind the scenes, it offers a unique, in-depth look at the harsher realities of filmmaking. With drama that ranges from personal conflicts to epic storms, this is a record of a film disintegrating: Terry Gilliam's failed attempt to make a film version of Don Quixote
It is less a process piece about filmmakers at work and more a powerful drama about the inherent fragility of the creative process - a compelling study of how, even with an abundance of the best will and passion, the artistic endeavor can remain an impossible dream.

RIRIE-WOODBURY ENDS SEASON WITH ROSES, CHOCOLATE, SMASHED LANDSCAPES AND A GOODBYE DUET Unstable Elements Smashed Landscapes Short Stem Roses Bittersweet Chocolate Duet #1 from Trois Fois Deux Plus . Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, 7:30 PM in the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20-25, students/seniors $15, and may be purchased at an ArtTix Box Office, calling 801-355-ARTS, or online at www.ririewoodbury.com. Short Stem Roses The Inky Deep, Short Stem Roses, Wreck a Pair , and Long Story Short Trois Fois Deux Plus (2002) was originally commissioned by Brolly Arts and the ASUU Presenters Office, especially for choreographer Stephen Koester in collaboration with composer Kenji Bunch as performed by the Ahn Trio. Stephen is a professor at the University of Utah Modern Dance Department and continues to choreograph around the world. Trois Fois Deux Plus was a series of three interconnected duets and trio showcasing the talents of the original dancers and exploring the duet/trio form and relationship. For the dancers, it was a challenging exercise in stamina and memory in the attempt to have momentum and endurance take dancing to an elevated emotional and kinesthetic level. Unstable Elements will feature Duet # 1 with dancers Jamie Hall and Stevan Novakovich. The dancers throw themselves into each other and the dance; creating an intense connection between them, a definite relationship and duet passion, open to the interpretation of the audience. Jamie Hall and Stevan Novakovich will be leaving the Company at the end of this season.
