So stand auch die Frühlingssingwoche auf dem Leuenberg und die Chorreise im Juli ganz im Zeichen dieses Jubiläums. Wer sich aber mit der Biographie J.S. Bach’s befasst, weiss, dass das Geschlecht der Bache vom 16. bis ins 19. Jahrhundert unzählige Musiker hervorbrachte. Johann Sebastian Bach war wohl der genialste Komponist und Organist, doch lohnt es sich absolut, sich auch mit Werken anderer Bache zu befassen. So standen auf dem Programm der Herbstsingwoche Motteten von Johann Christoph Bach, Johann Michael Bach und Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach. Folgende Werke wurden einstudiert: Sei getreu bis in den Tod ( Johann Christoph Bach 1642 - 1703) Der Mensch vom Weibe geboren ( Johann Christoph Bach 1642 - 1703) Ich weiss, dass mein Erlöser lebt ( Johann Michael Bach 1648 - 1694) Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe (Johann Michael Bach 1648 - 1694) Zion hört die Wächter singen (Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach 1732 - 1795) Ich lieg und schlafe ganz mit Frieden (Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach 1732 - 1795) Der Chorleiter Hans-Jörg Ganz aus Winterthur verstand es meisterlich, den Chor zu begeistern. Allein schon das Einsingen am Morgen, sonst nicht immer bei allen Sängern beliebt, gestaltete er zu einer fröhlichen Angelegenheit. Müdigkeit während dem Singen kam nie auf.
