Assembling these pictures caused us to want to take a look at the geography that was responsible for Mozambique's great losses. As you will see, this region of Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi is an intricate and complex network of a great many rivers flowing from the highlands of Zimbabwe and Zambia to the lowlands of Mozambique and ultimately to her shores on the Indian Ocean.
