1-0 out of 5 stars Cracks in Upton's Head
If you have already read Charles Upton's System of Antichrist then save your money and do not buy this book. Most of Cracks In The Great Wall is taken straight from System Of Antichrist with hardly any new material. Therefore I was somewhat disappointed by this book.

Cracks In The Great Wall deals specifically with the Alien phenomena in what looks like a further attempt, on Upton's part, to update Rene Guenon's Reign Of Quantity. The thrust of this book is to suggest that the Antichrist appearance on Earth will somehow coincide with a worldwide outbreak of UFO activity. With this theory Upton also suggest the possibility the Antichrist and his demon/aliens will try to imitate the Second Coming of Christ. (I've heard it all now.)

It is an interesting theory but by putting all his eggs in one basket, Upton has pigeonholed Rene Guenon's Reign Of Quantity into one area, specifically UFOs and alien adduction. Reign Of Quantity does not need to be brought up to date. There is a reason why Guenon wrote Reign of Quantity the way he did. As someone else has already pointed out - Upton is no Guenon. I would have to agree.

5-0 out of 5 stars A desparately needed dose of the Truth!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is involved in anyway with the alien/UFO experience and their own spiritual journey. Thank God for Charles Upton's courage to write this much needed information. As he says, the ETs are liars! They all have their own agendas. It is a complete waste of your time to communicate with them and the other denizens of the Invisible Realms - and dangerous for your soul.

I am someone who has personally been involved with ET transmissions. I know far too many people who have received this deceptive confusion that cunningly enhances the frail egos of those who are simply sadly unaware of traditional metaphysics. It has taken me years of meditative introspection and the brilliant writings of Rene Guenon to understand the truth.

PLEASE READ this book and clear the cobwebs out!

5-0 out of 5 stars Everyone MUST read this book!!
Perhaps the most important book ever written, this short but concise volume gives us an alternative version of human history. What if Darwin and the religionists are both wrong? What if mankind is much older than we've been led to believe? What if the creators of the Flinstones had it right, and we were around in the time of the dinosaurs? Better yet, what if we are dinosaurs? What if intelligent dinosaurs bred us to be their "dog-like" servants, and we rebelled (ala the garden of eden story)? Read this book and you'll believe all of the above, and more! Don't buy this book unless you want to know the probable truth about human history. ... Read more

is an overview of UFO discoveries in the context of the battlebetween mainstream science and researchers who dare to study UFOs. Itexplores the history of UFO research and how it's been labeled adeviant science a definition that emerged gradually out ofmilitary/governmental investigations and coverups. Although physicalscientists are generally perceived as being hostile to ufologyindividual scientists are less condemning of UFO studies than it wouldappear from the taboo status of UFOs in academic institutions. 4-0 out of 5 stars Ufology as Sociology
I found this book library and almost didn't take it out because the publisher (Wild Flower Press) sounded too airy-fairy, New Age-y for me.How wrong I was. This is an excellent treatment of the sociology of ufology. It is a well-researched, heavily-footnoted survey of the ufology: its luminaries, it's debunkers, and it's internal controversies. This is required reading for anyone who is interested in this field.Don't read this book seeking an answer to the question "are UFOs real?"Rather, read it to understand th field of ufology, and how similar, and dissimilar, it is to other areas of research. The large bibliography alone is worth the price of the book.Congratulations to Gettysburg College for supporting Dr. Emmons in this work. After finishing the book, I bought my own copy - the ultimate compliment.

5-0 out of 5 stars the best academic introduction to a very complex subject.
C.F.Emmons book shows for the first time the diverse factors that undermine a objetive appraisal of ufo related phenomena limiting prematurely the big universe of discourse that this subject demand. This as the author says transform ufology in a "extreme deviant" subject much more that in parapsychology where similar "noise" has hindered its aceptance by normal science. A carefull sifting of this type of noise is done in the book's appendix through the selection of biographies/Ufologist Case Studies where only researchers(believers, skeptics and debunkers) with recognized academic credentials in traditional scientific disciplines are disclosed(I found only a marginal error when the author refer to John E.Mack as the Pulitzer winner for a biography of Lawrence of Arabia (p.231) instead of refering tohaving that prize for the life of D.H.Lawrence). Putting aside literary references the author shows a real effort in a multidisciplinary approach to a theme that cry doing so. Without doubt the final chapter is the more speculative and at some time the more balanced in weighting near all of the more popular theories about the "Larger Reality" that the study of this phenomena demmand of our methodological, epistemological and ontological assumptions behind our institutionalized blessed conceptions about our universe. A view in my opinion is lacking when he refers to "implicate order", "hyperspace" and other concepts borrowed from the new physics, this view is "multiverse" and "quantum parallelism" and "time loops" in alternative interpretations to the Bohm interpretation of QM. The explanatory potential for the UFO phenomena of this latter concepts are left for the interesed reader.

5-0 out of 5 stars A veritable banquet of food for thought!
Take off your blinders, pull your head out of the sand, we are probably not alone! Think what you will, but read this book before you decide. Three things:First,"At the Threshold" is genuinely entertaining.Second, the facts on this highly controversial subject are presented in aclear, concise manner. Third, Dr. Emmons isn't afraid to discuss thissubject in public, you needn't be afraid to read it in private! In anutshell, "At The Threshold" is a veritable banquet of food forthought. Enjoy!

1-0 out of 5 stars Eyebrows Up~~~~~~~~~~Alert!
I have not read the book but intend to read/scan it ASAP- MY QUESTION is the redundancy of the "reviews" written just above this (if this one makes it). Sure gets my antennae a'quivering (or else, too many peopleare regurgitating the same phrases without having the same experience---andmethinks that AIN'T synchronicity...)

5-0 out of 5 stars A remarkable book.
No one has ever taken such an objective and open-minded look at the people who study UFOs and their interaction with mainstream science. The decision to write this book from such an honest perspective was very ballsy, andEmmons should be commended for his integrity. Here is one man whounderstands and will not bend to the "peer pressures" ofmainstream Academics.Very refreshing (and surprising) ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Witnesses who glow in the dark
The book "The UFO Conspiracy, The First Forty Years" is a book detailing alleged accounts of UFOs all around the world, and peoples encounters with them. The UFO Conspiracy starts with the supposed crash of a flying saucer in Roswell N.M. in 1947 to the time of the book's publishing in 1987. The stories described in The UFO Conspiracy range from people seeing lights in the sky, or finding metallic wreckage with weird writing on it in the desert, to being abducted by little bug-like, Grey men.
In part one of the book, "The UFO Invasion", the author describes hoe UFOs have been seen landing in remote forests, to hovering over the White House. Part two "The UFO Worldwide" tells of more sightings all around the world. It details stories from the US, UK, Africa, New Zealand, and Russia.Part three "The UFO Proof" gave an exceedingly larger amount of physical proof from video evidence, to mass sightings, even to abductees who glow in the dark do to radiation from UFOs (they believe). Part four "The UFO Cover-up" details the governments of the world's views and public policies about this issue. Part four focused on the US, governments of Europe, Russia, and the UN.
I thought this book was very interesting, but unless you are into this kind of thing you might not find it as interesting. But I think the book gives enough evidence to turn a natural skeptic like me into a convinced believer.

I found the book extremely useful for the report I had to write on the Roswell "Conspiracy". Backing up statements and theories with clear facts, it makes speculations sound plausible to even some of the mostdisbelieving readers. 5-0 out of 5 stars Top-notch UFO investigation
Tony Dodd has written one of the best UFO books out there, in my view. There are a variety of fascinating cases detailed in the book including those from England, America, Iceland, South Africa and other locations. Dodd, a former policeman, has a knack for doing detailed work and his descriptions of the various cases he discusses are thorough, credible, and in-depth. He covers the full gamut of UFO phenomena including sightings, abductions, animal and human mutilation, and other weird aspects. I found a lot of new cases I had never heard of before, and more detail about cases I already knew about like the strange incident of Captain Mantell in the late 40's. I can highly recommend this book to new and old UFO researchers alike. Anyone with a keen interest in the subject will learn something from Dodd's focussed and intensive investigations.
(Dr. Simeon Hein is the author of the OPENING MINDS softcover and audio books, and PLANETARY INTELLIGENCE.)

5-0 out of 5 stars A great story!
I find most UFO books utterly boring. There is lots of speculation but few hard, cold facts. Tony Dodd's book gives you a look at a true investigator of the paranormal. He is fair minded, never revealing his contacts and he still tries to maintain some skepticism when investigating UFO sightings. I have read many of the British investigators books. Most are trying to fill pages with a very weak thesis or story. Dodd comes through with an exciting tale. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Be willing to consider other viewpoints
If you've already got your mind made up that the 'Face On Mars' is absolutely 100 percent natural and NOT man-made, then what are you doing reading this book? This book is primarily for those SEEKING answers, NOT for those who have their minds made up already. Maybe Hoagland's ideas are completely wrong, but then again, they may be right, or maybe somewhere in between.

One question I've never seen addressed: Why doesn't NASA release their Mars photos IMMEDIATELY when they get them? Why are the photos always delayed 48 or 72 hours? Does NASA feel they need to be screened for pornography or something? If there is truly nothing but rocks up there, I can find absolutely no reason for any delay. They might say they need to be 'cleaned up' or the images made clearer. Fine. That can be done later. But it would make folks like me feel a bit less like they were hiding something if they'd release photos the moment they got them. There's no good reason not to. Just put a caption that says something like "Raw untouched image" on it. We're smart enough to figure it out.

I can't say that I agree with everything Good proposes in this book, but he does raise some interesting possibilities about UFOs. Good is not claiming that UFOs are extraterrestrial, but simply that they do exist and that the governments of the world have been hiding evidence of this fact. His study is exhaustive but would still be worth reading just to examine the facsimile copies of confidential and secret documents from the U.S., Canada, and Europe, as well as the controversial MJ-12 documents. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Fun Reading but...
I bought this some number of years ago, still have it in my bookcase. It's a fun read and would make a great movie. But, unfortunately, aside from hearsay and stories told by others, there isn't (as is typical with these kinds of books that make such claims) much in the way of anything hands-on factual that can be verified.Having served in the Air Force for almost 2 decades and having worked with pilots of high performance jet aircraft on "alert status" (in NORAD), I have not seen, nor has the crew members seen, any evidence of any kind of any kind of warfare with aliens invading the Earth. There have been radar echoes throughout the ages, but no eyes-on sightings.I also have a good number of friends that were scope-dopes and they confirm electronic anomalies, but in most all cases, that's exactly what they are, random electronic "things" IN the electronics, not in the skies. So, despite this supposed "WAR" with the aliens, no one I know or have worked with has seen any resources devotes to this. And, we would know by virtue of our job and position and clearances.Just not there. But - it IS a fun read and I would recommend it (same category as spooky stories around the campfire at night).

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting!
Above Top Secret is an interesting, scary read.Do not read it alone at night or you will jump at every little noise!Everyone should read this book to be informed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty interesting stuff...
Good sets out to prove that we are, and have been, visited by UFO's for a long long time. Using witness testimony and other evidence. He claims that the government has known about this since at least 1947 and is keeping it from the general population for their own agenda. A pretty interesting book. He covers UFO sightings from all over the world as well as here in North America. You can also tell from reading this book that the author has done a lot of research into this subject.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Compendium of Official Secrecy
Timothy Good's 1988 ABOVE TOP SECRET is not a quick easy read, but it offers an unmatched pile of information for the skeptic. Nearly every researcher who has studied the UFO phenomenon has concluded that they are space craft operated by extraterrestrial biological entities, and Good is no exception.

Good takes a special interest in what governments other than the USA are doing about the problem. He catalogues several instances where a government's rheteric is in conflict with its actions. There is an especially good and lengthy appendix with document after document from the world's governments, proving that despite their denials, they do take UFO sightings seriously.

As a British investigator, Good details the intelligence services of the UK, and how they liason with those of America and also the KGB. Some of the best information lies in the exposure of secret government organizations and how they liason with ech other. You can almost create an org chart to follow the flow of information from the moment a witness makes his frantic phone call to the local authorities.

Some of the individual sighting reports can safely be skipped, but as you get deeper into the report, you begin getting to the real meat of what makes this book valuable. Knock off a star for overlong and somewhat dry, and you are left with a four-star must read for the UFO buff.

3-0 out of 5 stars Allegation by innuendo
In this fat book, British UFO investigator Timothy Good tries to persuade us that governments are withholding evidence proving that UFO's are real.Like many others who have made this claim, he relies on a mixture of documents, media reports, interviews, and hearsay to support his case.He focuses heavily on Great Britain and the United States, with special attention to military and intelligence agencies.

While Good does cover a lot of material, people who have read into this field will have seen many of these reports and allegations before.Only those predisposed to accept Good's thesis will find the book persuasive. He often uses unconvincing phrases such as "I have been informed that," "I feel certain that," and "it must have become obvious that." Some of his sources "claim" that certain facts are true.Good dismisses denials by sources as credible as Neil Armstrong.

Though Good says at the beginning of his book that a bona fide UFO does not necessarily imply an extraterrestrial spacecraft, he comes down firmly in favor of the alien visit hypothesis at the end because "it is the only one that explains most of the facts."Arguing that we are under surveillance, he writes that "we are being visited by several different groups of extraterrestrials."Good believes that aliens have made selective contacts with hundreds of individuals.Accepting the idea that the aliens are similar to us physiologically, he theorizes that some of them have had a hand in our evolution.None of these statements are clearly supported by evidence available to the rest of us.The only useful feature of this book is the one hundred plus page appendix, which reproduces large numbers of documents with various degrees of relevance to the UFO issue.

We have had no objective, scholarly, book-length study of the UFO phenomenon since 1975, when historian David Michael Jacobs published The UFO Controversy in America. Will some scholar please fill this gap? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Unforgettable!
I was hypnotized for abduction experiences years ago by a colleague of (and trained by) Budd Hopkins. It's very scary to realize that something of this magnitude that you had buried in your subconscious is actually true. The media and skeptics imply that some people who claim to have had abduction experiences are doing it for the attention, that it's a hoax, etc., but that could never be because no one wants to have gone through what I - or others I know who have had these experiences - went through. I could write here about the "proof" I had of my experience that goes beyond mere hypnosis, but I don't want to get too far from Budd's book. It's brilliant - terrifying - a page-turner.People have mentioned that Budd's book is scarier than any by Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Of course. Truth is always stranger than fiction. My question for Budd: you said you were going to present a sequel to "Witnessed," revealing, among other things, the name of the well-known world leader who was depicted as having viewed these events from his stalled limo on the Brooklyn Bridge.Where is it? I've been looking forward to it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stunning and exciting
Though I've bought literally hundreds of books from Amazon, I've never felt compelled to review a book like I do this one. This is my first book review. As a skeptic, I left my mind open as I read, as you must on this subject. The book reads easily like fiction, and soon felt like a thriller. So if you are interested in learning about UFO's without wading through government documents and lots of names, this is the perfect read. You may remain skeptical and still enjoy this book.No one is asking you to believe.Even those involved in this encounter don't want to believe, so no one expects you to.This is much better than Steven King or Dean Koontz because there must be elements of truth. What's more scary than that?Enjoy, and don't try to hard to figure out the truth.

5-0 out of 5 stars entertaining,out there..........
I really don't know how to review this book.Bud seems like a good man to help Linda they way he does. This book is out there, but if you are an abductee, you know how strange reality really is.It is worth a reading. It will keep you wanting more.

"I'm standing on nothing. My nightgown is above my head. I can see it..."

Linda Cortile, "under hypnotic regression"

On 30 November 1989 in the wee-hours of the morning, "Linda Cortile" was abducted form her 12 floor New York apartment.Transported by a blue beam of light, "Linda" and her three alien abductors exited through the closed window and safety screen into a hovering UFO outside.

What starts as a text-book UFO abduction takes an unexpected twist as details emerge indicating that "Linda" was not the only one abducted that morning. As Investigator and Author Bud Hopkins attempts to work this puzzle new leads evolve: the abduction of a political figure and the security detail, an attempt by unidentifiable men to abduct "Linda" and the near tragic result of her kidnapping.

Although several incidents depicted in the book sparked the skeptic in me, this book is consistent with the investigation techniques and proof-providing style of Bud Hopkins.
This story definitely adds a new twist to the alien agenda as well as the degree of impact our childhood imaginary friends may actually have on our lives.

2-0 out of 5 stars Long-winded and shaky alien soap opera
I expected more from the first true book I've read about this type of phenomena. The book should have been a third of its 398 pages, because in the end, all you have is a couple of people's stories, however compelling they are, to judge for their truthfulness. The three cental figures connected to the Linda Cortile case won't reveal themselves, so we're left wondering if she made them up(by sending letters to the author) to further her sensational means. There isn't any real evidence other than a xray that used to show an object in Mrs. Cortile's nose, which is no longer there, well, because the aliens took it out.Hopkins conviction and analysis is compelling, as well as some interesting side stories. But in the end, even if the events did take place, which is possible, what happened is kinda silly. With obsessed top security agents, a wierd "world leader", and criss-crossing generational alien meetings, this should have preferably been a 30 page article. ... Book Description
Astronomer Carl Sagan believed that modern physics was not discovered centuries earlier because it was deterred by religious superstition, suggesting that ET's advanced civilization would be due to an unbiased pursuit of science. Human pride and an imposition of politics on science are the best explanations for impeded scientific progress and a closed-mindedness to the most astonishing possibility in history - that ET is here! The first philosopher to have written both a professional article and book in support of ET's probable presence, Dr. Trundle combines his expertise in Ethics, Politics, and Theology, with an impressive array of material from UFOlogists and military experts, to argue that ET has, in fact, been around for quite some time. Illustrated throughout (b/w).Includes a momentous admission fromC. McClelland, former ScO, Space Shuttle Fleet, Kennedy Space Center (1958-1992)! ... Read more

Bob Trundle's book, Is ET Here? is great. If you ever get the chance to take his Philosophy and UFOs course at Northern Kentucky University, do it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Unlimited possibilities!
I have always been skeptical about the UFO phenomenon, yet I've also been very interested in it.So when reading this book Dr. Trundle had to do more than just show cool pictures and ask questions.I wanted answers and reasoning behind any evidence that was given, this book definitely delivered that.I found that the use of logic and different philosophical insights definitely helped to make a compelling case for the existence of E.T.If you are a skeptic or just someone that is interested in the question, you owe it to yourself to have your questions answered. This is a must read.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's all about the possibilities.
Some of this book is a difficult read due to its tendency to drift into philosophical areas. It doesnt become too in depth, but it is noticable at times. Many of the popular reasons UFO reports get discredited, are eviscerated by an in depth knowledge of science. Trundle presents a strong case for the possibilty of UFO contact. In my opinion that is the best reason to read this book. I am a bit skeptical about some of the individual reports, but other evidence is simply shocking. If you are a believer or not this is definately an interesting read, and you will know alot more about what is or isnt possible when you finish.

5-0 out of 5 stars Skeptics Beware
Robert Trundle presents a compelling argument for the existence of extraterrestrial life in his book Is ET Here? Although many would rebuke such a claim as preposterous, Dr. Trundle clearly and concisely explains why this hypothesis is both real and in harmonious agreement with the fundamental principles of science and theology.

While examples of personal testimony, eye witness reports, and documentation are heralded as concrete evidence in a court of law--pointed out by Peter Gersten, author of one forward for the book--they are meaningless to a public unwilling to recognize the possibility of ET's presence on our planet.

In my opinion the argument is won by Dr. Trundle's philosophical inquiry alone. In his book one will discover why it makes sense to believe in ET and his contact with Earth. Both science and theology enthusiast has much to gain. This is an exhilarating read!

4-0 out of 5 stars A Good all-round reference book for beginners and 'old hats'!
Is ET Here? was my first 'academic' book on the UFO phenomenon...after reading many abduction scenarios in various short, 'light-reading' type books, this made a refreshing change, as it offered me something to really get involved in - something to get my teeth into.

Being somewhat familiar with philosophical terminology, I was not daunted by the indepth references to logic and arguments, etc., which constitute only a fraction of the entire work. The rest is a fascinating compilation of often forgotten or ignored material, presented in such a way as to keep the reader enthralled and wanting more.

There are many, many images, which is always nice, and descriptions of many incidents, people, and organizations I had read very little, if anything, about elsewhere.

I came away from the book wondering why more academics don't speak up in favour of the UFO phenomenon being REAL! Trundle puts his career on the line by being so open about his colleagues' misgivings, etc., but this is to his credit. If only more people of influence could be so open minded!

I recommend this book, not because its so amazingly unique, as much of the material can be found if you search high and low, but the point is, it is all collated here, in one convenient source, and supported by such a strong philosophical argument that it makes for a very persuasive read.

A great reference book.

God Hypothesis : Extraterrestrial Life and Its Implications for Science and Religion (New Millenium Library)

By Joe Lewels, Ph.D Publisher: Granite Publishing, LLC; 2nd ed edition (February 8, 2005)
ISBN: 0926524534
Review by Dr. Colette M. Dowell, N.D.

For the past decade there has been a wave of books published about UFO enigmas ranging from benevolent beings interacting with humans in order to help us save our home planet Earth, to hard evidence of spacecraft technology being drafted and engineered into our modern-day Star Wars program. Physical abduction of humans by extraterrestrials was among some of the scariest phenomena ever reported. Many serious and non-serious researchers of UFOs and other related paranormal topics have accounted for actual videos, photographs, possible alien artifacts and also first-hand verbal accounts by witnesses or experiencers of paranormal events. God Hypothesis is one book covering varied studies of ufology and independent researchers' views. The researchers' views are reported from their own personal niches in the field . Joe Lewels, Ph.D., offers an accounting of mainstream ufology along with his own personal interpretation of who or what is doing whatever, when, how and why. Where does the heritage of aliens and spacecraft begin? How long have human abductions been taking place and why?

Lewels considers himself a 'common' man--a man whose childhood was filled with devout Christian faith and common sociological thoughts and typical mainstream consciousness. His journalism occupation led him to a Ph.D. journalism program at University of Missouri and to a position as Editor of the Freedom of Information Digest and Reports. He thought he had a really healthy, normal life, but something lurked in the back of his mind haunting him. Previously, while on an Army flight mission in 1969, somewhere in Alabama, Joe and his companion Army Colonel Bob Jones, both witnessed a glowing orange ball of light hovering at high altitude ahead of them. This was a night for Joe to ponder for many years, for what he saw was an unidentified flying object.

It wasn't until 1992 that Lewels' desire and sincere approach to ufology guided him to actually research the phenomena. His religious background targeted him towards theology within ufology by way of peculiar patterns of relationships he noticed between modern-day UFO-related happenings and early Christianity. Rev. Dr. Barry H. Downing's interpretation of the UFO phenomena and its curious parallels with theology coincides with Lewels' conclusion that our modern-day aliens are in fact history's ancient Gods as related in the Bible and other ancient sacred texts. Indeed, there are some quite stunning relationships between events, 'beings,' Gods and spiritual theme from ancient to modern day texts.

God Hypothesis: Extraterrestrial Life and Its Implications for Science and Religion, partly is Lewels' interpretation of his own personal spiritual transformation and ability to accept more than what is typified in mainstream consciousness. He describes his 'conscious' moments when he suddenly realizes there is something more out there than he had earlier perceived, and expresses his shock, joy and wonderment about the event. Lewels totally went through a positive transformation of his personal state of being, and his acceptance and tolerance of other realms--realms other than what he can perceive with his senses or rational mind. I am sure while on his earlier venture into the depths of ufology, and upon his startling realizations and memorable moments such as coming to terms with cattle mutilations and human abductions, he must have really freaked out. He speaks of aliens as possible angels to some, and to others, the Devil or Satan. He has a very strong religious scenario scoped out in his findings.

His overture is honest as he writes he reveals and shares his excitement and his naïve state of being as he reports on his newly found paradigm. I could picture him with compelling force running from UFO conference to conference and hanging out with 'select' speakers in hopes of hearing about the latest UFO happenings and related topics. In total fascination he details his search and writes about his understanding of the UFO phenomena and queer correlation's to specific biblical text and varied mythological legends.

Lewels presents images of ancient wisdom teachings and Bible stories to your mind. Who were the keepers of the tablets, and where were they really from? He discusses the problem with different modern languages translating the Bible and other Sacred Scrolls from the original ancient texts. He also presents important chronological historical theology and the differences between 'era'-related transcriptions and revisions of the Bible. I found this to be very interesting and it helped me understand certain changes within earlier civilizations' government and religious thoughts of the time. Lewels exposes the hypocrisy and manipulation of the sacred texts that induce major changes of consciousness and control of the majority of peoples throughout the world.

Lewels 'tracked' the UFO phenomenon accurately by passage of his own experience and understanding of it. His perspective is shared by many who pursue the obscure and mainstream UFO myths and beliefs. Like every true-blue UFO researcher, Lewels expanded his way of thinking into other possible realms of realities. He associated himself with the holographic-universe concept of Michael Talbot and recaptured moments of consciousness as related to modern-day quantum physics. He even goes into the Mars Mission, led by Richard Hoagland, which in earlier years investigated the notorious 'Face on Mars,' deemed by NASA as a "trick of light and shadow".

What impressed me most about Joe Lewels' God Hypothesis, was his strong conviction that 'we are all of the same reality.' I liked this idea for reasons of selflessness, goodness towards the whole and concern for future implications if 'humans can't get it together.' This is a very firm belief among many experiencers of 'worlds from beyond' and those who observe the holy phenomena daily amongst them.

God Hypothesis: Extraterrestrial Life and Its Implications for Science and Religion, is a very informative book encompassing many details about many synchronicities that relate to Biblical texts and modern UFO realities. Many readers who are new to this particular theory and diverse explanation of certain parts of human history will arrive at a newly found awareness of themselves and other realities. Dr. Lewels did a fine job of conveying his personal message. I consider The God Hypothesis good, inspirational and educational reading material.

5-0 out of 5 stars Changing paradigms
I have recently re-read my copy of "The God Hypothesis". Ihave been fascinated with the ongoing debate of UFO's and their 'reality' or non-reality. It seems to me, that the whole point of non ordinary experience, is to question the edges of our perceived borders. I found Dr. Lewels investigation thorough, and extensive, and extremely mind awakening. People who tend to have non-ordinary experiences have opened the edges of all of the boxes we seem to think we exist in. Changes can be uncomfortable, but perhaps it is about time that we looked at all of the experiences as a whole and listen to what the people experiencing them have to say. UFO's, Out of Body states, NDE's andShamanic visions all share an equal and important theme. That we are part of a much larger 'reality' than we have accepted until now, and that we need to be connected in all ways to the beautiful Earth we live with, as well asworlds that are not as apparently visable. I highly recommend this book as part of library of thought which needs desperately to be considered if ,we as a race, will continue to exist.

1-0 out of 5 stars Amusing, but one question remains.
Another in the growing universe of new age books proclaiming the aliensare gods, we are gods, everyone and their uncle Sydney is a god. Fine. It'san amusing and imaginative rendition of reality. But, as with all pseudoscience, science fiction and real science, we're left with one basicquestion: Where does it all begin?

If aliens seeded the planet, whoseeded the aliens? If a Big Bang created the Universe and all life in it,then how was the Big Bang created and what existed beforehand?

I canmake up stories, too. That doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about. Somethings are mysteries beyond human--and alien--imagination or the ability tocomprehend. Saying otherwise doesn't make it so.

It's a fun read if youlike science fiction, but given the option, I'll stick with God.

5-0 out of 5 stars Paradigm Shocker
Very informative. The author inserts his ideas based on the facts he presents, but his conclusions are hardly debatable. He changed my life.I especially enjoyed reading the author's thoughts on God.. both the OldTestament/Punishing and Cruel God, and the New Testament/Kind, ForgivingGod.He made a very good case that the Old and New Testament Gods couldvery well have been different. This man started off as a curious reporterand wound up a changed man and an author. The book changed my paradigm, soI have to say it is a MUST READ.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding

Book Description
God's Gladiators by Stuart Wilde is his most personally revealing book to date. He lays his soul bare as he goes in pursuit of the devil, and finds him a decent chap if a little misunderstood. The dark side, after all, stands side by side with the light, waiting for each of us personally to walk up and shake their hands. What a glorious moment awaits as we embrace our mortality and say good-bye to our illusion of perfection. Stuart lays it all out for us. It's up to you where you go from here. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars What Happened to this Previously Brilliant Author?
I read this after reading all of his other works - what a disappointment! Hecontradicts his other works and goes on about fighting the Grays and submitting to some Goddess with firery eyes. This is not compatible with his other teachings and seems full of struggle. All of his previous works focus on creating your own reality and choosing to see what you want to see - where as in this book he seems to have given up to some other power and seems lost. The book left me with an overall feeling of despondency.
It was all a bit sad, he used to be my favorite author. What happened Mr. Wilde?

3-0 out of 5 stars Very Interesting Book.
I recommend reading ALL of Stuart Wilde's books. He will change the way you thik about thinking.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Terrible Fall For Stuart Wilde
For years I have been a fan of Stuart Wilde, often an uncomfortable one, who has been challenged by his ideas and ideals.I ordered God's Gladiators and read it cover to cover the day it arrived.I immediately went into a long clinical depression (my first) while I tried to wrestle with the dark world he has invented. Now that I am well medicated and almost a year into therapy, I can see the book for what it is, and objectively: The Ravings Of A Liar Or A Madman. If the book is meant to be a metaphor, Wilde pointing out that the devil story IS a metaphor only makes it appear the rest of the book is not. I think this old man has gone bonkers, right out to lunch, and is quite possibly schizophrenic.Try holding up any of his claims to scientific scrutiny and I bet we'll find nothing that can be proven. This is a sad and dangerous book by a sick man who used to have something to say.Total BS.I wonder what Wayne Dyer thinks of this crap?

5-0 out of 5 stars His best and most revealing work
Stuart Wilde lays it all out. If you have not read any of his other work I suggest you do so BEFORE reading God's Gladiators. Everything Stuart has written is worth a read but God's Gladiators supasses anything he has done beofre. He pushes your limits as he pushed his own. I highly recommend any of his work.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book changed my life
I was going through a crisis in my life and I intuitively picked up this book off a shelf. It was one of the strangest events of my life as I had never heard of Stuart Wilde or any of the many other books he has written. This book is about Wilde's journey through the dimensional doorways and into the other dimensions that many know are there but few have had the time or courage to enter. This book is about the "Godess", and what one may find when going on a "Godess" or vision quest. The energy is what he has referred to as Quest, or the sacred journey, but this story takes it a step further. As we are entering a quickening now, and events begin to accelerate, I believe that now is the right time for those who are ready to take the Red Pill and find out just what reality really is and not what the fat controllers of the world want you to believe it is.This book is a sort of Red Pill, a doorway into an energy that changes the direction you are going in life if you are ready.I picked up that energy and I am ready, a year and a half later, to leave everything behind and go on my personal quest. That is the energy contained in this book, and that is the energy which will slowly transform our world and save our people. If you have the courage and this feels right for you, get it. ...
