Product Description
Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment starts with adetailed explanation of why to consider amalgam illness to besomething that some people must have by comparing the well knownstatistics for how much mercury people absorb from their fillings tothe well known statistics of how sensitive different members of apopulation are to a given toxin. This is for people who really don'tknow if they believe in amalgam illness or not (the other materialavailable is rather sensational and I can't blame anyone reading itfor having questions) before going any further.

Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment discusses how to deal withphysicians if you think you have a controversial disease - especiallyif you have the great "luck" to be covered by a managed care plan.

A key section is devoted to diagnosis - how to tell if you actuallyhave amalgam illness instead of something else. It is also possible tobe mercury poisoned from something other than amalgam, and the testingand examination described here is diagnostic regardless of the source.

How to get the dental work done safely if you have decided amalgamfillings are the problem is briefly described - there is a robustindustry of amalgam free dentists if you know how to look for them.

The use of drugs and nutritional supplements to get the mercury out ofyour system is carefully presented - there are some important factorshere that are not well described in the previous books on the subjectand not all physicians who claim they know what to do actually givegood advice.

Then comes what turns out to be the major section of the book - how totreat all the related health conditions amalgam illness can cause soas to relieve them while mercury detoxification proceeds. Sinceamalgam illness is not widely recognized in the medical community, most people with it get pretty sick before they get motivated tobounce around between doctors and eventually end up in front of onewho tells them about it. So most victims have pretty serious, unpleasant health problems (like fibromyalgia or severe allergies) andthey really need to make these STOP for the year or two it can take toget fully detoxed and let your body heal.

There are extensive tables of what to use for different conditions, adescription of all the drugs and nutritional supplements suggested inthe book, and appendices covering things like what the assortedclinical laboratory tests you might get actually mean, what otherhelpful books are that you might use, and supporting information likewhat the chelating agents are and how they work. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Nobel Prize Worthy For Sure
I'm not going to go into great detail here since so many other gracious readers have already done so. What I will say is that this book has truly saved my life. Seriously. After 15 years of misdiagnoses, one great doctor suggested amalgam illness, I then found this gem of a book, and now I am finally on the road to recovering from this nightmare. This book is the be all and end all of mercury poisoning recovery and, at times, the author's razor sharp wit will give you a much needed laugh. Yes, this book is science heavy, but the tone is not. Andy has penned this in such a way that is very personal and very comforting. To call Andy Cutler a hero is not excessive in the least.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you want to feel BETTER while SICK get the book now!
MR. CUTLER I WANT TO THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR WRITING SUCH AN INFORMATIVE HELPFUL LIFE SAVING BOOK.For one year I saw (8) doctors who couldn't help me with diagnosis OR treatment or even alleviate the pains UNTIL I READ YOUR BOOK where you have written about what "to do/take while poisoned".The supplements and protocols you recommended were the only things in that entire year that helped me to feel well enough to go outside or drive my car.Just very sincerely, thank you Doctor, I am so grateful.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Great Way But Not The Only Way
This is a controversial topic, but clearly one that is being examined more closely in public policy (cue: recent dubious study by CDC denying the link between mercury in vaccines and autism) as well as a touchy subject in the medical community for over 200 years.

Talk to 9/10 dentists and they will tell you the FDA has approved the use of mercury in amalgams and there is no danger of mercury vapor being released once the fillings are in place. I think the more telling fact is that in 1840, the American Society of Dental Surgeons denounced the use of amalgams and were disbanded in 1856 for refusing to use mercury. A group of 26 dentists formed the American Dental Association in 1859 and pledged the opposite (why you ask? amalgams were cheaper, faster, and easier to place than gold materials). Since then, the ADA has threatened to revoke the license of any dentist claiming to be a mercury-free dentist, so don't accuse your dentist of ignorance. I personally find it almost comical that although the FDA has warned of mercury of farmed salmon and other fish, it has yet to issue a red flag on dental amalgams, which can potentially be 100x more dangerous than the small amount of methylmercury coming from fish.

Ultimately, all this is only relevant when it affects your health. It might be true that even when mercury vapors are released into your bloodstream, they're pretty benign; that is, until you have a major health problem. Once mercury and viruses are in cahoot, they form a chicken-and-egg, symbiotic relationship. Recently, a lab test confirmed that my body is producing abnormally high antibodies to mercury and fibrillarin, a target in mercury-induced autoimmunity.

This book is targeted toward the "once it happens to you" constituency, not the advocacy crowd. It has sound recommendations and what not to do when chelating heavy metals from your body. It's written by a PhD in chemistry and his empirical study of both pharmaceutical and nutritional intervention shines through in his writing. He draws clear and concise graphs depicting where mercury can interfere in hormone production. Since heavy metal chelation is such a raw topic lacking clinical trials, I wouldn't rely on any single resource when dealing with mercury removal. Take bits and pieces from multiple authors/physicians and find the lowest common denominator.

My big takeaway from this book: 1) make sure your dentist uses proper procedure to remove fillings as improper methods can ironically worsen your situation. 2) Low dose oral DMPS or DMSA >>> intravenous challenges. 3) address adrenal, thyroid, immunodeficiency, and detoxification impairment to make these next few months bearable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mercury and Autism
I have purchased a lot of books about biomedical treatments for Autism. They all have their place and I am better equipped to help my son recover having read them. That said, there is one book which stands above the rest.Amalgam illness is my go to book when I want to stop reading theory and start doing something. We are now safely and effectively Chelating our son.Andy gives you the tools to address other coexisting medical issues caused by the Mercury, while your fixing the root cause and getting the mercury out.I have used other doctor led chelation methods with no gains, within weeks of beginning Andy's protocol we were seeing results. If I could only keep one book it would be this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hard to find information
Dr. Cutler is to be applauded for writing a book that few others would be qualified to do.

I am interested in chelating my ASD symptomatic kids and chose to look at his protocal rather than the DAN! protocol because theirs is SO expensive (basically IV chelation). But, in reading this book, I realized how FAR SAFER Dr. Cutler method is than the DAN! protocol and am greatful to have come across it.

I recommend the Yahoo groups 'frequent-dose-chelation' and 'Autism-Mercury' to help with any questions you may have along the way. It includes past posts of Dr. Cutler which answers many specific questions.

My great thanks to Dr. Cutler. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Only if your curious
If you want to know how an amalgamated dc and marvel character looks like, then buy this. Its interesting how their origin story would pan out.I don't think they are worth having their own comic series.

4-0 out of 5 stars really interesting.
if you love marvel, and if you love dc, this is something that you got to add to your collection, in this cross over that occurred during the marvel vs dc event, both universes unite to create only one amalgamated universe, with characters who are "amalgams" of two or more characters from both universes, in order for you to really enjoy this collection of hypothetical titles you should be a fan of both universes, and fill in the blanks that come before and after the titles (none of the issues are "origins")

As a marvel fan, I can assure you that even if you are not a hardcore fan of DC(or if your are a fan of DC, and not marvel), you are going to like the stories about the dark claw(batman + wolverine) ,super soldier ( cap. America +superman),and my favorite jlx (the x-men + the justice league)

The other stories are also good, but I didn't know a lot of info about the backgrounds of the characters that were amalgamated, so it was hard to find the similarities, and finding the similarities was one of the things that attracted me to this book.

SPOILER ALERT this is not part of the review, and is not really an spoiler since you can see it in the cover, but they turned daredevil and deathstroke the terminator into a woman.

2-0 out of 5 stars I Gained Respect for the Original Characters
I liked the idea of throwing these characters in a melting pot and seeing what happens, but the result is to messy to focus upon.I loved the DC versus Marvel comic, but this spin-off or spin-offs was all just too much for me.I managed to enjoy Super Soldier, and bits and pieces of Dark Claw as well as Assasins, but the X-men mash-up was a disaster. There were too many characters and confusing dialogues for me to pick up any interest from.A large team of superheroes is hard to control in terms of character developement, but imagine two groups of superheroes combined. Now that's one big headache.

Reading this I missed our original characters like Batman and Wolverine in their respective forms.Putting them together is like studying two people in one body, when Batman is two people to begin with.If I've confused you then maybe that gives you a taste of the chaos within the panels.

Amazon- C+Interesting at times, but overall boring.

Assasins- B- A good story, but the action is a little messy.Big Question is a great idea that needed more work.

Doctor Strangefate- N/AI payed for this in DC versus Marvel. Its a good story but I've already read it.

JLX- F Nuff said.Too much going on to enjoy.

Dark Claw- CI would have to read more to enjoy. The first issue did not hook me.The hero is one-dimensional.Batman and Wolverine by themselves are very dynamic.

Super Soldier- BI would read more of this.It was pretty entertaining.

Make your choice carefully. Some people really enjoy these stories. They're great ideas, they just need to introduce all the elements a little slower.Spread the story out I suppose.Don't expect the characters to be a perfect mix.

5-0 out of 5 stars The amalgam age of comics
This was a five star comic book n if u like the DC vs Marvel comic then this is a comic book to buy

4-0 out of 5 stars Unique but strangly comforting
The most interesting thing about these stories to me was that unlike the "Marvel verses DC" story where characters were matched up to fight based on the similarity of their strenghts and powers (ie Hulk vs Superman, Sub-mariner vs Aquaman, Batman vs Captain America), characters in this book were matched up based on their personalites. For instances, Wolverine and Batman were combined into a charater called Dark Claw. Despite their differences both Wolverine and Batman are dark characters, loners. Superman and Captain America were combined into Super Soliders. Both of these characters are role models and heros in every sense of the word. The orgin of the Amalgam character is a mixture of the two characters he os she is based on and usually were combined in interesting and unique ways. There were exceptions to this story formula, such as "Bruce Wayne: Agent of SHEILD". This story tells how Bruce Wayne's parents were spys killed by Hydra and Bruce has entered Sheild and used his power and money to turn it into his own private army. The issue opens with Bruce launching an attack on Hydra island in a personal war he has started. We can see a corruption here that has never really been used in the Batman stories, this gives a chance to redo certin characters in a new way, areas that fans won't allow writers to take with tried and true characters. My only complaint would be how many different stoies were combined. There are a few stories in the book everyone will enjoy, a true Marvel and DC fan will enjoy most of them, but only the most diehard fan be familar with all the characters. But this slight flaw is compentsated for by the fact that the stories themselves are interesting without knowing the characters behind them. All and all a great read. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Ehh...
It was an interesting read.It was cool how the characters from DC and Marvel would interact.Nothing original about the characters.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun for some people
This book, a collection of the second wave of stories featuring "amalgamated" characters from Marvel and DC, is, in short, just so-so.The first wave introduced us to fun characters like Super-Soldier(a Superman/Captain America cross), Dark Claw (Batman/Wolverine), andAmazon (Wonder Woman/Storm).It was a new experiment and a pleasantexperience. The second time is not as fun; tons of back-story knowledge isrequired to understand the significance of any one character. Most of thefun and energy seems to be missing.

There are, indeed, redeeming factors. The story "Super-Soldier: Man of War" is set during WWII and hassome endearing guest stars."The Dark Claw Adventures" emulatesthe art and story of the super-popular animated Batman series. And, asalways, it is an intriguing comparison of some of the finest heroes of bothuniverses.Fans of the first series will want this book for theircollection.Anyone else will want it as a coaster for their cold drink. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Degenerative diseases and the common denominator.

This book is for the person who wants to take charge of their own health. It is not intended for the person who believes that their doctor or dentist is a god-like figure who is knowledgeable in every aspect of health.

Mercury is a toxic metal. It is used by dentists for fillings.Mercury is accumulative in the human body. Dr. Huggins makes a good case presentation against the use of mercury for dental use.The human body is connected from top to bottom and everything in between. His research is credible with proof showing how disease and mercury are linked.

This is an easy read, straightforward, and good common sense applications for taking charge of your own health.

5-0 out of 5 stars dental revision
I read the book because i have ALS-i just went thru a dental revision and looking forward to improvement in my condition. Dr .Huggins is a brillient gentleman who was SCREWED by the ADA-because of monetary implicatins by other dentists...

5-0 out of 5 stars In my head!
Great book! A property of metal is that it conducts electricity.
Brain waves get changed from metal in your mouth. The toxicity of the metals is another issue. Very dangerous to your health! Poison!

5-0 out of 5 stars True Facts About a Poison Named Mercury
I first read this book 25 years ago in 1983 when I was 31 years old and literally dragged myself out of bed each morning to get to work.I was a Captain in the Air Force at that time stationed at the US Air Force Academy and was working long hard hours teaching calculus to the cadets. All I wanted to do was sleep.I would come home from work, go to sleep at 6pm, get up at 4 or 5 am and feel like I had just pulled an "all nighter" in college.I went to see the Air Force physician's who gave me two choices regarding my situation. The first was that I was probably pregnant - which I was not... the second was that they thought I needed to see a "shrink" - which was not an option if I wanted to keep my security clearance...Now what???
I was lead to a wonderful nutritionist in Colorado Springs who then introduced me to Hal Huggins who taught me via this book that silver fillings were in fact mercury fillings.Without Dr. Huggins I would not be here today writing this review.
If you have unexplained symptoms and you have metal fillings in your mouth, you may be sensitive to mercury as I was.Read the book and see what you think because everyone is different.

1-0 out of 5 stars delusional pseudoscience for the ignorant gullible and neurotic
In November, a jury awarded Diane Bailey, 41, a $159,000 malpractice award against Colorado Springs dentist Hal Huggins. Bailey says that she had no dental problems at all when she entered Huggins' office in 1991, but lost many teeth and now has nagging pain as a result of treatment at Huggins' dental practice. Dr. Gino Ortegon, a Huggins employee, removed nine dental amalgams and extracted three endodontically-treated teeth. Huggins claims that mercury in dental amalgams threatens health and that endodontically-treated teeth are focal points for infection. Both of these notions are unsupported by science and are forms of dental quackery. Bailey was roped into Huggins' nether world of dental hocuspocus by viewing video-tapes of television newscasts on amalgam - including CBS's 60 Minutes 1991 broadcast - and having read portions of Huggins' book It's All In Your Head: Diseases Caused by Mercury Amalgam Fillings. She said that the positive attitude and beauty of the dental facility convinced her that everything was legitimate. The state licensing board is investigating Huggins for routinely providing "substandard and unprofessional care" and for performing tests and treatments that are "a sham, illusory and without scientific basis." [ADA News, 12/4/95] Huggins' troubles were featured in Time magazine [12/11/95, p.7 1]. Disciplinary action could revoke Huggins' dental license. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Dental Awakenings!
Thank goodness for this stand alone book! I work in a dental office and find conventional sources offer nothing but disinformation regarding the darker side of dentistry. "Beyond Amalgam" explores issues that most dentists blissfully ignore and dental associations actively suppress. But then, I guess that's to be expected. After all, we are in the business of selling a standardized 'happy smile' not revealing the connection between dental health and whole body health!

5-0 out of 5 stars the underlying truth behind the tooth
If you're happy with ADA misinformation, this book is not for you! If you believe drillin' and fillin' rightly belongs at the center of holistic dentistry, you may not enjoy this book quite as much as I did.

Mainstream dentistry won't be addressing the unpleasant truths tackled in Beyond Amalgam regarding jawbone "cavitation" and its effects on systemic health any time soon. So, if you do read this book you'll run the risk of winding up too far ahead of the curve. Your dentist may not even like you anymore!

This book is particularly dangerous to the health care professional--proceed with extreme caution! With this info you may find yourself even more persona non grata than those pesky critics of wholesale fluoridation!

Stockton's personal experience within this new dimension of dentistry and disease etiology and her straight forward style of reporting makes this book a jawbuster--it should be a Blockbuster. But, somehow, I don't think the powers that be are going to be very supportive, heheh. ... Read more

Product Description
This often humorous and informative true story deals with two subjects-autism and mercury toxicity caused by dental amalgam. Narrated entirely by Jodi and herself, Jean explains why she thinks her son developed autism after his MMR. Anecdotal evidence points to mercury, and "Sherlock Shaw" connects dental work she received during pregnancy with toxic preservatives in childhood vaccines received by her son, compromising his immune system. Dental amalgam fillings caused Jean worrying health problems, and this compelling story deals with her diagnosis, safe detoxification programme, filling replacement, and the subsequent beneficial results seen by herself and Jodi, who also had heavy metal toxicity. She explains and illustrates that mercury toxicity and autism are virtually identical. Backed by other personal true stories, vast anecdotal evidence, and professional opinion, this book informs and educates the reader as well as invites them to decide if her theory about Jodi's autism is correct. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars "Liquid Amalgam", by Dave Dunn - a must read!
Having received my signed copy a few weeks ago, I finally had time to sit and read "Liquid Amalgam" by Dave Dunn - what a great read!

The reading is light, entertaining and goes quickly - like a Blanchard book.

Dave is right on the mark with his "unchangeables"!Throughout the book I can think of scenarios where I could put myself first-person with characters in the book. There are lessons to be learned from reading Liquid Amalgam for the novice to the most experienced.

Admittedly I rarely read the forward of any book, but once I started reading Natalie's I couldn't stop; do not pass it up (pgs. ix-x)

I strongly suggest adding Dunn's book to your library, it is without question; a must-read.

It contains a study of the representations of the geometries under consideration in GF(2)-vector spaces as well as in some non-Abelian groups. The central part is the classification of the amalgam of maximal parabolics, associated with a flag transitive action on a Petersen or tilde geometry. By way of their systematic treatment of group amalgams, the authors establish a deep and important mathematical result. ... Read more

Product Description
This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for dental alloys for amalgams across the states, union territories and cities of India. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across over 4,400 cities in India. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it's state or union territory and of India as a whole is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each state or union territory and city, latent demand estimates are created for dental alloys for amalgams. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

Product Description
This report was created for global strategic planners who cannot be content with traditional methods of segmenting world markets. With the advent of a "borderless world", cities become a more important criteria in prioritizing markets, as opposed to regions, continents, or countries. This report covers the top 2000 cities in over 200 countries. It does so by reporting the estimated market size (in terms of latent demand) for each major city of the world. It then ranks these cities and reports them in terms of their size as a percent of the country where they are located, their geographic region (e.g. Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, Latin America), and the total world market.

In performing various economic analyses for its clients, I have been occasionally asked to investigate the market potential for various products and services across cities.
