3-0 out of 5 stars Was hoping for more
When I ordered Borderlands, I was anticipating a great collection of Horror short stories. What a got was an OK collection of a hodgepodge of short stories. Not surprisingly Stephen King steals the sow with his contribution.I would only reccomned the book to someone wanting to read an ecliptic mix of stories from Authors, or die hard King fans that must have everything he writes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite author
Stephen King has done it again.I find myself anxiously awaiting his next masterpiece.

1-0 out of 5 stars From The Borderlands
I hated this book. It was almost like the people that published the stories in this book where trying to hard to be different. The stories did'nt really make sense at all. The only good short story in this book was stationary bike.

3-0 out of 5 stars Want Something to Read Whilst in a Waiting Room?
This is an anthology of a number of short stories all of which deal with terror and madness.

A nice book to have for planes and waiting rooms where you might get interrupted.

3-0 out of 5 stars Borderlands
Most of the stories in this book are good.A few of them were just downright ridiculous and I skipped over them but, for the most part, this book is worth the read. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Like new
Book arrived on time and in better than expected condition. Although the rating given was "good" or "acceptable" (I don't remember which) the book I got was in excellant shape. "Damage to spine" was found to be cosmetic only. I would have no trouble dealing with this seller again and would certainly recommend them to others.

3-0 out of 5 stars One good tale
I enjoyed the Cutty Black Sow more than any of the other tales. The rest of the book is largely a quick, forgettable read. There just isn't much kickin' these days worth mentioning in the world of horror.

4-0 out of 5 stars A very solid collection
This volume shows off the wonderful variety of tales that appear in Cemetery Dance - although some are slow burns and others are bloodbaths, all are visceral and thrilling. Also included is an interesting Dean Koontz interview; partnered with the stories in this book, it's an altogether satisfying package about the craft of horror. BOOYA

3-0 out of 5 stars Somewhat dissapointing.
Coming from Cemetary Dance , I expected these to be truly scary and gory. I was quite dissapointed. Not splatterpunky enough for my taste. But some of the stories are quality, just not enought in sucession to keep my interest.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Read!
I got a lot out of this book. They did an excellent job at compiling a little something for everyone.

THE BOX by Jack Ketchum and SILLOUHETTE by Stephen Mark Rainey were the ones that stood out the most. THE BOX is one of those tales that is so subtle yet brilliantly disturbing, and SILLOUHETTE was a seemingly "been there, done that" haunted house tale, but through Rainey's masterful storytelling, the images stick.

Whether you are looking for gore, suspense, monsters, or bizarre-- this anthology delivers. The reader can open this up with confidence knowing he's getting top-notch quality. ... Read more
