Current details: Although AMP reported a 40% drop in its half-year net profit ($690 million vs. $1152 million) the result was in line with most analysts expectations. The companys core earnings remained resilient but investment returns were lower. The lower returns could weigh on its share price performance should there be any shocks to its profits.
